Healing Center
Tucked away on a heavily wooded acreage overlooking
Blackhawk Lake, the contemporary beauty of Sound Mind &
Body Healing Center is the ideal place for a weekend retreat.
Although retreats are always customized to the group (of no
more than 8 people) who attend, some popular retreat themes
are: spiritual development, healing and mind-body therapies.
With outdoor pool and hot tub facilities available during
the summer, a weekend retreat conducted by Kevin and his select
group of specialists will change your outlook on life!
Sound Mind & Body Healing Center not only
teaches classes and holds small group discussions but is
also available to others for lectures and seminars. With it's unparalleled warmth and energy, the healing center is the
ideal place for your next meeting or event. The large meeting
room can accommodate groups of up to 30, while the Great Room is ideal for smaller groups.
In contrast to group activities, the
Sound Mind & Body Healing Center specializes in individual
healing sessions by appointment.
Hi Kevin, I want to thank you for the use of your lovely space. I received many positive comments about the program as well as your space. Thanks,

The Sound Immersion Room
(By appointment 651.688.2469)
The Sound Immersion Room at Sound Mind &
Body was created to address the following issues/problems:
Affects of Noise Pollution.
Noise pollution is one of the most serious forms of pollution
in that it causes us to "tune out" a great deal
of the sound around us and, therefore, decreases our ability
to listen to subtle sounds accurately. The focused sound in
the Sound Immersion Room leaves all "outside" noises
aside so that you can get the full range of ONLY the sounds
you are meant to hear in your session.
Sound Experience.
Listening to sound is great, but it can't compare to "experiencing"
sound (which is why people attend live performances). Kevin
can custom create sound for you, while you are in session
and pipe it directly into the Sound Immersion Room LIVE while
you listen.
Listening Quality.
For anyone in the music or recording industry, the "wild
card" is the wide variety and quality of stereo gear
available to people (in other words, the sound people hear
may be a far cry from the sound as it was intended to be heard).
Kevin works and creates the sound with state-of-the-art equipment
that guarantees you will have the most eclectic sound experience
available. Plus your sound is coming through high quality
sound speakers focused only to you.
The Sound Immersion Room creates a comfortable
environment in the incomparable restorative energy of Sound
Mind & Body Healing Center, whereby the listener can truly
experience sound accurately reproduced. In fact, it's so quiet
in the room that you can almost hear a pin drop on the carpeting!
Softly lit by salt lamps and devoid of visually distracting
images, the Sound Immersion Room takes the concept of "sound
healing" to a whole new level. Sessions are customized
to your needs and may include live sound—exactly the sound
you need—being created by Kevin Doheny for you to experience
right there during your Sound Immersion session. CD and cassette
recording of the session available.
Are you looking to create a Sound Immersion experience in your own environment? Kevin would be happy to consult with you on all aspects of the project. Contact him at 651-688-2469 or by E-mail.
Hi Kevin, Well, I am finally writing back. One thing that seems to have changed since I had the sound session is that I seem to be operating on my own schedule and not feeling so pulled by the "shoulds" in my life, if you know what I mean. I am still amazed that the CD affects me so much. I didn't tell you this that night, but the part that always brings tears to my eyes also gives me a glimpse of what I believe is the man who is waiting for me (who will be there when I finally understand who I am) and the feeling I have when I am with him. It was really cool when I listened to it at your place, as I felt him touch my cheek as well as having the images of us in my mind. Does that sound strange? I don't know, but I am feeling incredibly more patient and calm about life lately. I had actually decided a few weeks ago, that I am not going to date for awhile. I have so many things I need and want to do in order to find the peace that I know exists in each of us. I want to be a stronger person and less attached to outcomes, things and even people. I want to know myself before I try to know another.
